If Shimano ever decides to build a car, I want one.
If the engineering in its reels is anything to go by, I’m sure a future Shimano car would be engineered just as well. There is a hitch – top engineering comes at a price and I probably couldn’t afford one.
The lightweight Ultegra Ci4 XSA is 100g lighter than its predecessor, and with heaps of features, such as two-speed oscillation, waterproof drag and aluminium spools to name just a few, it’s an absolute gem of a reel.
Casting and retrieving is among the smoothest I’ve experienced with a fixed-spool reel.
