When it was first released this model was dubbed the Blue Elite, but sadly it left the scene when the magnetically controlled reels took over.
Now, by popular demand, it’s back on the beach with a new name. From the outside, it still maintains the dazzling blue side plates, but an upgrade to the internal parts is where it differs.
With a new V-shaped spool, upgraded bearings, reinforced clutch spring and precision brass gears, those Blue Elite lovers can have something to smile about.
It also has a single counterbalanced power handle, strengthening crossbars, a ratchet and centrifugal brakes.
As an added bonus for its reintroduction, buyers of the Blue Yonder will receive an Abu Garcia neoprene reel pouch and a Berkley micro-fibre towel, both free of charge, to keep their reel in pristine condition. Is this the return of a legend?
