Monkstone Point reaches into Carmarthen Bay between Tenby and Saundersfoot, be wary of strong undercurrents

Directions : Approach Saundersfoot on the M4 then take the A48 past Carmarthen towards St Clears along the A40. Go onto the A477 and head for the Begelly roundabout and take a sharp left towards the Fountain Head Inn. Take the left turn opposite the pub onto the B4316 to Saundersfoot. Go up the steep hill, pass the hotel at the top, through Broadfield. Turn off before you reach the junction of the A478 and head for Trevayne Farm. Park here and a short walk down a steep path
Season : Spring and autumn for bass, mullet in summer, ray in March and April, October to April for whiting
