Overlooked by Criccieth Castle, this beach is made up of rough ground and boulders with patches of clean sand at long range

Directions : Take the A497 from Porthmadog towards Criccieth. Entering the town continue straight on, heading west. As you leave the town, there is a filling station on your left and then a left turn signposted Traeth (Beach). Turn onto this road and go down the hill. The car park is above the beach as the road goes back to the left at the bottom of the hill
Season : Bass in summer and autumn, ray in April to May and September to October, dab and whiting in late September, mackerel in July to August
